In the 2017-18 season, Laurentian University entered a competitive team into the league. The team composed of Emma Cushnie, Colleen Daly, Candice Larochelle, Daniela Lobo, Lyanne Paquette, Alystra Riddel, Hunter Truong-Nguyen, and Cassandra Young, placed 10th in a tough field of teams at Nationals. In the 2017-18 season, Lakehead entered a duet into the experienced category, and finished an extremely strong 8th place out of 16 duets. The 2018 CUSSL Nationals were hosted at the Brock University in St. Catherines, Ontario. After having a successful event at an incredible pool, swimmers at the University will be starting a team for the 2018-19 season.
The Dinos Synchro Club entered one experienced team into competition in the 2017-18 season, who placed 6th at Nationals with 69.6000. Swimmers on this team are: Bianca Chiacchia, Mickayla Jones, Breanne Law, Paige Martin, Kayla Pearen, Amy Schimpf, Victoria Schmeiler, and Alicia Van Hyfte. They were coached by Pam Larose and Madison Allen.
The Dinos Synchro Team can be seen working hard over the summer as well as showing off their skills as one of the top schools in the West. They host camps over the summer that focus on many different cross training activities, such as gymnastics at the UofC gymnastics centre, stand-up paddle boarding in Kananaksis, rock climbing, yoga, pilates, foam roller sessions, nutrition course, goal setting and psychological training as well as a visit from Dot Padget, who is one of our countries top officials!

Congratulations to all of our routines that competed at the 2018 Canadian National Artistic Swimming Championships in Windsor, Ontario. We had 4 routines compete from 3 different universities across Canada! Our athletes competed in a stacked senior field against members of the current Canadian National Team, and we could not be prouder of their results!
